Cool Dream
06/08/15
I had a cool dream today, on June 7th, 2015. It featured me watching a movie I think I made up entirely in my head.
There were four characters, two male and two female. Props to my brian for making it possible that the movie passes the Bechdel Test.
It's set slightly in the past I think, and this group of four are all syblings, maybe? Something said later in the dream makes me think so. So, also cool, no romantic hookups for no reason.
So, these four people are on a ship looking for some secret their father had found and lost decades ago. They end up crashing on some incredibly shallow water encircling a mysterious island not too far away. There's a humerous moment where two of the characters are riding a cow in this shallow water trying desperately to do... something, and the cow shakes them off and ends up running off into the edge of the shallow water and disappears into the deep water.
I guess that ends kinda dark.
Well, anyways, they end up making it onto the land of this weird island. It's kinda squareish, but it's split into five parts (separated by deep, deep water). Four corner islands and a circular middle island.
What ends up transpiring is a montage of finding treasure (with chests and camera-angles right out of 3D Zelda) to a musical number. Also, it's revealed that the characters have gliders, somehow and for some reason.
Eventually, they glide to the middle island and one of the female characters accidentally dives into a narrow hole. In that hole there ends up being a secret (magical?) spring containing all of the artifacts of all the people who previously found that very srping (not necessarily the island). They all are revealed as being great figures in the history of their world.
Then the characters start talking about if only their father had found this place, his artifacts would be here or something.
Then I woke up.
It's somewhat interesting while looking back on it, but dream-me actually had lots of criticisms while "watching" this movie (like the musical number and the sudden introduction of gliders).
Seems I'm a critic of my own work even in my dreams, Stephan.
