Fiction Idea: How People Have Died

This is one that will take me a long while to get to properly, I think, simply because my experience and/or knowledge of death as a proper real thing is fortunately lacking. So, a quick sentence description for this idea:
A fictional world filled in only via stories surrounding the deaths
of characters within.
