Fixing RSS Typos
10/21/15
The new blog RSS file is coming along nicely. I have fixed the surprisingly many instances of having the title spelt wrong in the description (e.g. 'New post on blog! "How Do I Learn How Stuff?" wherein I finally do some initial research on learning home improvement.') This is a mistake repeated twice in the original RSS file).
Because title is filled in dynamically for the new RSS file, some repeated mistakes became only description mistakes. And so I made it so that any description that had the post's title in it had that title represented as {{title}} (thanks be to the ASCII to HTML chare for making it simple to represent my replace string without it actually being replaced when running this post through my scripts).
This fixed the problem, and revealed lots of other problems that were harder to fix programmatically. Some of them are typos in the posts themselves, which I am now propagating faithfully. I will allow those to stay. Some of them were me forgetting to update the links in the RSS file correctly, thus linking to a previous post instead of the new post.
This meant that I missed some RSS descriptions in the conversion of my system to include a views area where each post had exactly as much information as necessary.
This problem was basically best solved by hand. And solved by hand it was.
The new RSS file is almost ready for deployment. I've also fixed a bunch of stuff in the old RSS file, so I apologize for messing up your RSS feed, Stephan.
