Game Weekend Coming Up?

So, a while ago, I decided that I'd set aside a weekend a month to do my own personal game jam with a team of as many people interested in joining me. I have yet to do a single one. Now, I have excuses, but I'm not interested in excuses, I'm interested in making games. So, this weekend, I'm going to make a Japanese-study game.

Why an educational game? Because I'm more interested in making games that help me improve myself right now than I am in games that are simply intrinsically interesting, though I do really want to explore varrious game concepts that are intrinsically interesting as well.

Right now, though, if I make a game that I use everyday, or convince others to devote a lot of time to, I'd like it to very directly correlate with the gaining of some valuable ability.

Let's see how this goes.
