I Don't Know Agile
12/05/14
For a person working on a game called AgileGame, I don't know much about the agile development methodology, Stephan.
In fact, until today, I didn't realize it was significantly different from the Spiral development model. Like, they probably share a common ancestor, but other than that....
It's funny, I thought the game I was making was closer to spiral, or rather more generically spiral.
It's not. Much closer to Agile, actually. Specifically, the game as it exists now is focused on making code that works within a short time frame. Which is a focus of agile.
Sweet. Maybe subconsciously I knew more about agile than I consciously did....
Yeah, no, I just named it AgileGame because I wanted to make a game version of "Flash Fiction", but FlashGame implied I was making the games in flash, and I have no plans on that.
It totally all worked out though. I'm totally up for:
- Learning more about agile
- Making the game more explicitly about agile development
I'm pretty happy about all these coincidences.
I will continue to iterate on AgileGame.
