Javascript: Minimal Timer Interface
01/26/15
So, I've been thinking about what a good, minimal javascript timer would be for general use. Someone started talking to me about it today, Stephan, and now I can't stop thinking about it.
So, what would a minimal alarm timer be?
- Store alarm (multiple?)
- Check if the alarm is triggered
- Execute something when the alarm triggers
- Pause the alarm(s?)
The alarm doesn't need to pay close attention to the time. Something else would be in charge of timely checks to the alarm timer. This simple interface could then be wrapped in various javascript tools for whatever use. The first thing I'll wrap it in is Crafty, as a timer component, and then I'll continue to remake my countdown timer app using Crafty.
