Laptop Everywhere?

01/28/15

So, for a long time now I've been bringing a large lab journal with me everywhere. It's where I like to record my more bloated thinking. Unfortunately, I rarely make a habit of going back to it. It's disorganized and messy and any thoughts I have in it I would rather rethink from scratch than go looking for it in my writing.

I like the idea of having a journal, but I don't think it's a place I should keep my writing. I write faster and in a more organized manner on my computer, and I now have a place where the content I write gets read more frequently (this blog, and it's still not frequently enough, but it's a start). The journal would be a good place to draw, or do more visual or informal and sporadic thinking (something I am most certainly not good at on the computer).

And so, yesterday with my good blogging on the bus experience, I've decided I quite like having a proper computer with which to write and store my thoughts whenever I'm thinking, and I find myself getting lost in thought most everywhere.

In fact, bringing it with me today I've written two blog posts on my bus ride to work alone.

Maybe future blog posts won't be so directly related to my actual bus ride to work.
