Personal System Upgrade Needed

My work system is just better enough than my home system to annoy me. I really need to do some catch-up with my home system.

Things I have at work that I don't have at home:

• A script that initializes posts
  • Special setup for certain diary posts
    • End of Day Reviews
    • Weekly Reviews
    • Morning Routine
    • End of Day Routine
• Vim integration with the script that initializes posts
• Vim integration with the script that publishes posts

These few things have been incredibly valuable at work, and may have helped facilitate why I feel so much more productive at work now. I believe it is time to update my home system to reflect this.

It should actually be easier to update my home system than my work system, because I had to build some stuff in python at work, but I have access to plenty of good node libraries at home.
