Philosophy Post Attempts

01/06/15

I would like to try to post my personal philosophy more often. But I'm not sure how I feel about making such thoughts public. I have strong, uninformed opinions on a lot of things, which defintely would be more easily fixed with public-facing content that people could correct me pretty easily. But also, having opinions, having strong opinions, easily accessible via public ports, that's like asking to burn bridges before they even have a chance to form.

I could realize I burned bridges on opinions I don't have anymore. This seems maybe a petty thing to worry about, but I understand that this world is full of lots and lots of people, and I think people deserve the right to disassociate with whomever they choose for whatever reason. So, it's my responsibility to think carefully about how I present myself such that people don't want to disassociate with me, I think.

But, I need to share my thoughts on things. I need feedback, I need to practice communicating ideas I find very important. Ideas I feel define me more than most anything else. I can't keep that personal.

I may need to just let the random bridges burn, especially since I can't know I've burned bridges until I have. I may also build bridges by sharing my more personal philosophical thoughts. So, yeah, gotta be okay with the publicness idea, I think.
