QuakeCon: Day 1 (Thursday)

I woke up bright and early at 9 a.m. on this, the first day of my first QuakeCon (to be fair I was up until 2:30 a.m. waiting in line to get my computer into the LAN area).

And to be honest I don't remember much before the doom event. It's all a blur. I hooked up the computer, I drank some Bawls, I played some Counterstrike. Some trolls got on my case that I was a brony. Accused me of some pretty terrible fetishes for ponies. I played some Smash. I got the rocket-find malware on my computer (which I've mostly scrubbed clean out shortly there-after). I bought and downloaded Dark Souls 2. I played a tiny bit of it (I'll make time later for it, I swear!).

Overall, a blur of fun and awesomeness. And after the Doom demo, a friend and I went to the top floor and enjoyed a nice steak dinner.

A good start to a good experience.
