Revising the Plan

05/13/15

Okay, by now I should've been working on some sort of contribution to io.js for about 13 days now. Instead, I haven't really done much of anything, save for writing a blog post daily (I write them daily, it's just sometimes I forget to actually publish them to the site, even though I just have to run a script to do that).

So, what do I want to focus on, right now? I mean, I would like to get my productivity tools in place to facilitate more efficient use of my free-time and also tracking my general productivity, but that's actually a large project, and waiting for it to be "done" is ironically keeping me from doing real accomplishment-based work.

So, let's just go ahead and focus on trying to contribute to the io.js community, as was originally planned for this month.

Though, today it has also occurred to me that sticking to "priorities" over planning diversity has considerable weaknesses.... With my amount of free-time per day, only working on the priority thing seems intelligent, but it might be better to make a plan day-to-day, and stick to it, and simply make note of where my brain wanders so I can keep it in mind for the next day's plan.

One thing's for sure, what I was doing isn't good enough, and I need to experiment with how to maximize my personal productivity.
