RSS Generation Script Functional

10/20/15

The code I've been writing to generate an RSS file out of the descriptions present in most but not all of my views/blog posts is functional.

It is so functional, that comparing the new RSS file to my old RSS file reveals typos and/or improper blogpost title transcribing in the old RSS file than errors in the new one. Funnily enough, the title typos repeat themselves in most item descriptions because of how I would insert items in the RSS by hand. This means that, for now, the new RSS file has typos in the item description but not in the item title.

This will be one of the things I fix.

So I'm not done.

Meaning the code post-mortem is still not quite happening. Though, when it does happen, it'll be a massive review of plenty of files.

Look forward to it, Stephan.

Oh, also, I'll continue updating the old RSS, and link to it in my browse bar as the RSS file for now. Once this refactoring stage of my script stuff is properly finalized, I'll make the switch proper, and I'll make sure there's a proper post about switching there (which will be the last post the old RSS file points to).

Hopefully that's not too much trouble.
