Site: Tornado Preparations

08/30/14

So, I'm trying to setup a tornado server that replaces the static HTML pages I have representing my site. I want it to run right alongside Rosse's blog on this server.

That means I need to mess around with nginx configurations so that I can point the site to the running tornado server. As I have mentioned before, there are configurations for doing just that.

The problem?

That's not a tutorial as I implied it was in a previous post. It's just a configuration file. Which features some magic I frankly don't understand. Now, I could tweak it until it sorta works, but I'd rather understand what I'm doing rather than get the right answer (that's for you Stephan).

I was hoping some further Googling would just explain that configuration file for me and I could have a reference that makes doing exactly what I want to do really easy and something I understand. Unfortunately, the Internet isn't always so nice.

But for future people who feel the same way as I do, it will be.

I will explain that configuration file line for line, and what I changed where and why to fit my simple site with its simple needs.

Coming soon!
