Sleeping Experiment Working?!?

08/18/15

So, the last two days, I went to sleep at 2200 and work up before 0400. I'm a bit out of it today, but work turned out unexpectedly productive (started and finished a task in one day, within the allotted time slated for the task).

I woke up without the use of an alarm. It just naturally occurred.

Even more impressive, I spent about 2 hours in the blistering heat yesterday, hauling my bike across Tucson to get a wicked-sweeth bike pannier (more on that in a future blog post). Today I woke up sore and tired with every excuse to go back to sleep, but instead I just decided to stay awake, because I figured a couple more hours wouldn't make me feel better.

Whether or not that's correct thinking is irrelevant. I managed to stay awake the whole day (though I did nod off a bit during some of today's meetings), and though today was by no means a perfect bit of productivity, it really feels like a step in the right direction.

We'll see if it keeps going.
