Timer Update
12/27/14
So, I've still been working on my timer (repo here). No aesthetic changes, yet, though. Mostly, I've been working towards making it so timer information is saved server-side, so that I can make it work switching computers and stuff. I'd like to slowly incorporate higher-level planning into the app, as well. But right now, just making it incorporate server-side programming should unlock some valuable functionality out of my timer.
I have a working change (unpushed) that tracks when the timer expires instead of decrementing a local second value. That way, the timer still accurately ticks even while my computer is asleep. It'd be useful for the timer to tick even when the browser tab is closed. I could make it text, email, or page me when the timer ends. Would allow me to track events that separate me from the browser.
Changes have been slow-going, though, because I am super enjoying my winter vacation at my brother's place in Wisconsin, Stephan. I am not going to feel bad about that. That I've done any productive work at all makes me incredibly happy. Between the blog posts, javascript playing, and Japanese posts on lang-8, I feel pretty good about this vacation.
