Building Plan
03/23/15
Okay, starting this a bit late. I should prepare for my talk a bit, email some—
External Voiding Pomodoro Distraction: Dragonball Z Abridged stuff
What I need to do:
- Prepare for Game Dev talk
-
Email officers about
- sign up sheet
- directions to building and room on UA Game Dev blogpost
- Facebook post
- Email CSC 335 teacher about talking up the Game Jam tomorrow
The next pomodoro should be prepping for the talk. Then I can do both emails for Game Dev stuff in one pomodoro.
I want to do a weekly review at some point.
External Distraction: Asking if I'll be here
I guess I could stand to write good directions for how to get to the IEEE room for the Game Jam. I can do that for the email pomodoro.
Let's go ahead and do a pomodoro-by-pomodoro breakdown of what I want to do.
UA Game Dev Javascript Talk Prep
I need to review what I'll be showing, and where I want to take the talk from there. I might want to show a couple of the games I've worked on, and maybe do a quick blank page to something working demo.
I should also do a practice run, which itself would be a pomodoro, as the talk needs to take about a half-hour. So, I should prep for the talk, do a practice run, take notes during that run about what I need to do, and then maybe do another practice run or prep pomodoro.
UA Game Dev Emails
Need to send emails to officers about class I went to, feedback I got from Mercer, and also email I will send to the CSC 335 teacher.
Officer email will be:
- Where do I put the list of names I got from signup sheet
- Can we add directions to the building/room for the Game Jam post
- Should we do a proper Facebook post?
- If no one else can get to CSC 335, I'll go, here's the email I plan on sending
Teacher email should just be a slightly modified version of the email I sent Mercer.
Is the Plan Good?
I think this plan should work for today. I should've made the plan much sooner, but eh, not all days will be perfect. Let's add a pomodoro prepping for 127A, I only got one minute for the execution of that, I should make it count.
Okay, now we're good.
