Building Plan
03/16/15
Okay, main goal of day: weekly review. Key part of that weekly review: clear out capture notebook. A nice thing to do with this weekly review would be to develop deadlines for certain goals. Start cultivating the capability to set and make deadlines. This is something that can be a part of my calendar review.
Deadlines helped me juggle items better in school, so I'm hoping they'll help me do that now, too. There are a great variety of things I want to do, that I don't make time for, because I keep getting distracted by one or two things (website stuff and blogging, mostly). Those are good things, and I'm doing okay work there, but with deadlines I'll have more focus on what I'm trying to do, and clearer success/failures. Something that I'm not really doing with my home system, yet. I set aside time to work on stuff and work on that stuff, but crossing the item off my list is kinda dishonest when I didn't define what finishing actually was.
That's something I need to fix.
So, I'm devoting four pomodoros to weekly review stuff. Two to processing my notebook, blog posts, and diary items; one to processing email; and one to processing all the other stuff my template guides me through.
Then I got blog post writing and review writing to do. After I finish one blog post, I may devote the rest of the blog post pomodoro to writing the review. Then I'll have my end of day review.
I may be able to put more pomodoros in. The rest of my pomodoro items should be devoted to website and/or webapp development.
I think I'm done planning for the day. I didn't explictly plan to make deadlines for the various goals I have, but it is in my weekly review template now, so hopefully I'll get to that by the final pomodoro of the weekly review. Otherwise, I'll make note of it such that I get to it next week, at least.
