End of Day Review

02/22/15

Today was mostly work-focused, but I still got four pomodoros in towards the home system (I'm counting the one I'm spending doing this review, Stephan).

External Distraction: Dog itching ears

Let's take a look at the my logs for the day.

I wrote a good post on how I'm going to implement the pomodoro technique. I believe I already translated that to a proper blog post.

Yes, I have. I'll publish that right now.

Done. I also wrote another blog post today. Nice. I'll publish that one tomorrow, unless something more topical gets written before then. Maybe I should start publishing my posts right when the day begins instead of shortly before or even after the day has ended.

Maybe I should publish "tomorrow's" post now, and thus start that pattern now.

Yeah, let's do it.

Done. Cool. Now I'm like those cool kids who update at midnight or whatever. Eventually I'll have a tool that does this for me, Stephan, I swear.

Treating bus trips as pomodoros really helped my focus on the bus. It is what allowed me to write two blog posts on the way to work. It also really helped me focus on the reading on the way home.

Both mornings and end of day planning were also supposed to build my tutorial/instruction template, but I haven't really put too much effort into the morning one, and the evening one might not get any time. I'll need to devote a proper pomodoro to each when I have some real free-time (maybe next weekend?).

Well, this review is basically done, I'll publish my diary posts for today and work a bit on my end-of-day instruction set.

Huh, my pomodoro logs are formatting all wrong.... All the more reason to learn to use HTML tables, I guess.
