End of Day Review
02/23/15
I did the things I set out to do. I had more time to do stuff because my work is cool, but I didn't really do more stuff, because my wallet was lost/stolen.
Today has been an emotional rollercoaster.
I really like using the bus as a pomodoro. I've tried to use the time waiting for the bus as a pomodoro, but there really wasn't much time spent waiting for the bus. So I won't do that in the future. Also, it is way to bright at the bus stop to do anything on this laptop, lesson learned.
Anyways, my work is great. Seriously, I love it. I mean, not perfect, but a system is there to really try to work with what I don't find perfect. To improve it, and by doing so, improve myself. Also, there's lots of room for just pure self-improvement. That's nice. Benefits are also just freaking great.
I'm getting five days off for my Babuska's... passing. You know, I think stronger words, but writing them is harder. Saying them is sometimes fine, but it seems if I say them in the right combination I lose control.
In any case, I'm realizing more and more that those five days are so freaking necessary. Especially now that I have a missing wallet. I really need to renew my identification. Errr... you know, have an ID card that fits in my wallet (already got a new wallet).
A lot of good is coming out of me losing my wallet. I mean, the bad way outweighs the good, but it's all stuff that should heal in time, and most of it is replaceable, and the stuff that isn't can be replaced with new memories and traditions.
But, I mean, I'm finally cleaning out my wallet, to make an obvious pro. I also cancelled some credit cards I was never using anyways. I'm getting most cards I replaced for no charge. I cancelled AAA (did you know they give partial refunds? Basically however much of the year you're cancelling). I'm going to get a driver's license with my current address (which may well be a long-term address). I have a stronger excuse, though it may now be harder, to go through the steps to get better Canadian identification (maybe even a Canadian passport).
Oh, crap.... How easy is it to steal my Canadian identity? I think I had my Canadian social in there.... I need to figure that out, probably. I'll have to ask some people, maybe.
Really hoping it shows up in lost and found tomorrow.
Anyways, pomodoro stuff is mostly fine. Still got some stuff to polish out, but it'll come with time and days where I have a clearer head. A good end of day routine document, as well as a good start of day routine, will also probably greatly help me find a rhythm.
Oh, yeah, this morning did not go as productively as it could have. Lost a lot of time to watching Youtube (did you know the Goku vs. Freeza full fight is 4 hours total? Damn).
Pomodoro is indivisible, and I have ten minutes left.... Might as well work on one of my routines. On one hand, I feel a good morning routine will be best to develop first. On the other hand, I feel only morning me, and I mean just woke up morning me, should write, follow, and edit that routine. He knows what works and what doesn't for him.
Though maybe a rough draft will help him out, too.
Actually, some thinking on what my end of day routine should be, and when it should be for that matter, might do me good. Right now, for instance, I feel like I may be too tired to take any kind of end of day chores seriously. The only thing I know I will do is put away food and brush my teeth.
Both of which I have somehow forgotten until after I got into bed, and leaving bed really is such a pain. Yeah, let's make an end of day routine that I hopefully start referring to before getting into bed.
