Personal System Iterate: Weekly Review Init

03/31/15

Okay, system iterating. This pomodoro's foucs?

Weekly Review Template Generation

Basically, I want a thing that'll link to all my blog posts and automate as much as is reasonable. I write a lot of posts in a week, even for my home system. Being able to automatically link to all of them, and setup a place for commentary in my weekly review will actually save a significant amount of time.

Further, such a script could be modified to get other posts and stuff, which could be useful for various reasons (collecting all my vim posts and tagging them, for example).

So, how should I do this? I downloaded a node library called cheerio that gives me jQuery functionality on server-side html. Let's use that.

The cheerio that I npm install'd has a readme.md with the following useful code:

/*jslint node: true */
var cheerio = require('cheerio'),
    $ = cheerio.load('<h2 class="title">Hello world</h2>');
I added the jslint comment so JSLint would be happy.

Okay, from here let's feed in an html file as a commandline argument....

I guess that's next time.
