Review

03/07/15

Today was a really good work day. It even let me do some good thinking about my home system and what I could do to improve my personal habits. I've reemployed site-blocker as a result. I managed to write a good blog post about just that, even. I also wrote the beginnings of two other blog posts exploring my own philosophy regarding systems and words.

I have resolved to explore vim more. I've made it a secondary goal now that I type much more each day with these diary posts. Just today I've already developed a habit out of actually using vim registers, and also made capital E go into insert mode at the end of a word and capital B go into insert mode at the beginning of a word. But I think explicit pomodoro time will be very powerful. Especially since it will leave a documentation trail. I'm pretty excited about this.

I am considering experimentation with other editors and actual IDEs, as well. Though, I don't know what IDE I can really use on a chromebook, so I might not go much farther than consideration. I believe using other methods could unlock perspective and inspire me to improve my vim toolset.

The weekly review went really well at work, so I'll be making time for that tomorrow. In fact, it may be the main thing I make pomodoro time for, as I got other plans to adhere to. If work's review is any indication, the review is going to take at least 4 pomodoros. And that's if I allow myself to put stuff off until next week (which I probably will).

So, yeah, that'll have to be my only real plan tomorrow. Hopefully, Sundays will get more than just reviews and chores once this system proves itself as a proper habit.
