System Thinking
04/14/15
Okay, it's clear that my home system needs work. I am not doing the pomodoro system, even though I know that when I do I get more out of my productive time and make time for entertainment.
Now, don't get me wrong, I'm making time for productivity. I just think I could do it smarter and also enjoy my entertainment more. Right now, I have Glee on while I blog or code away. Now, I've come to enjoy Glee, so this is not an ideal work-environment, and also only watching Glee is not my idea of a well-balanced entertainment diet (which reminds me, my food diet needs balancing as well, but that's something to talk about later).
Anyways, there's a few things I need to do:
-
Update my plan document
-
No more daily morning and end-of-day routine
- Not until schedule stabilizes
- Let's make a weekly routine to compensate
- Weekly-review is now biweekly
- Make a day-off template vs. a work-day template
-
No more daily morning and end-of-day routine
- Document my current schedule
- Analyze my current schedule
- Consider my ideal schedule
- Map a plan from current to ideal
So, I got a lot of thinking to do.
