Weekly Review

03/30/15

My weekly review instructions can now be found here. The diary post is now commentary on the review, and it will also make note of any changes I decide to make to the guideline page itself. For example, I realize I never go through my bookmarks during the weekly review. There's a lot of good content on both my Firefox and my Chrome, and it would also be useful to merge the two together fairly regularly. So, I'll add that now.

Process Your Notes

Capture Notebook

My everyday training plan is a blogpost idea that talks about what my blog has become, and how I'll apply lessons learned from it to other things over the long run, maybe. Adding it to my blog inprogress area.

vnc prototype blogpost is... something that isn't even ready to be an empty draft in my inprogress area. Striking it out for now.

Mr. Money Moustache was a site recommended by a good friend, Stephan. It's something I feel I encountered before, but I'd like to revisit it. Adding it to my browser actions list.

Having remade my findReplace node script, I became curious about what the standard convention was for versions on npm projects. I'm still unclear about it. I have found some resources on it, though, so it'll be a good blog post at some point.

Diary Posts of the Week

My last weekly review was on 03/23, so let's catch up on everything from there! Hmmm.... At work I made a script that grabs all the posts since the last week for me and prepares headers with links to the posts to insert into this post....

Worth doing at home, too? Took a good chunk out of my review, which is why I didn't finish the work review. Eh, screw it, this week is now officially "Work on my pomodoro system" week. No review writing, and maybe even the blog posts will focus on it.

So, I'm going to skip the rest of the review, incur some weekly review technical debt, and work towards tools that make this valuable system more efficient to use. Hopefully, these efforts are a great success.
