Woke up at 0700 to grab a bagel and coffe at Starbucks and get on the bus heading to Montery, CA. The bus left at 0745, and I spent the ride talking with fellow employees and listening to more of the Great Beanie Baby Bubble.
Upon arrival, there was check-in, and then a walk around the beach area with fellow employees. After the walk we grabbed lunch (vegan options weren't great) and then it was off to basically a 4-hour all-hands (but in a good way).
To maintain attention I kept notes while listening. I'm really glad I did, have a lot of stuff to follow up on in there.
After the meeting was a happy-hour. I avoided a bunch of drinks, but did end up having some wine. Lots of talking about engineering things, including an interesting for-fun problem:
1 | You have n nodes in 3D space. Each have their own x, y, z position and r |
I'm thinking there's an oct-tree solution in there that is fairly efficient. Maybe I'll try something out this weekend.
For dinner... there was a lack of vegan/vegetarian options. We had to complain and wait. There ended up being a lot of conversation between all of us.
After dinner, I wend to my room and wound down with some Adult Swim before falling asleep.
