CSS BEM
05/08/15
So, as I said somewhere before, I've subscribed to a CSS newsletter. Just recently, I decided to skim through some of those emails, and one of them linked to this article on BEM.
What's BEM? It stands for "Block, Element, Modifier", and is a CSS style-guide with the purpose of avoiding specifity creep. It actually didn't take me long to encounter this problem on my site, but that's cause I kinda don't know what I'm doing and just crammed things willy-nilly into CSS files.
As I work on rewriting my CSS from scratch, consideration of this concept may well be useful in my endeavors.
