I gots no energy today! I don't want to give into the lack of control, because this sort of thing can linger on me for days. So! Let's work on my new timer.
Tue Jul 03 02:20:23 UTC 2018
Distracted myself with QUAKECON stuff.
Tue Jul 03 02:20:37 UTC 2018
I can maybe try again.... I should probably do my end of day review, actually.
Tue Jul 03 02:33:13 UTC 2018
End of day review.

Last year, I discussed the strats I was using to avoid going to time wasting sites.
Those strats didn't stay effective.
Lately, experience has been super effective in keeping me going. I know these reviews have proven valuable. I know I can't give into apathy via a lack of energy. I know I can have a stable sleep schedule given the right self-guided environment.
I know that reddit is not valuable to me, and that any time it looks legitimate to use is a slipery slope towards wasting my time on it. Thus, I don't even use the more helpful versions of reddit. For example, if there's an answer to a question I have on reddit, I still don't go. Usually that answer is somewhere else, but if I continue to have trouble, I'll ask someone for help. That someone else may end up answering my question via reddit, but I won't go to reddit.
The same is now true of twitter. I'm also developing a habit of not reading the comments. Comments are not valuable. They are low-quality content piggybacking on content I find interesting or valuable.
Anyways, moving on.

Last month was my first super productive Saturday. What a contrast to today, a super unproductive workday.
But I'm not frustrated at that contrast. I know that I can do better, and I know today isn't necessarily a sign or trend of negative progress moving forward. I'm tired today, and things are hard because of that, but I'm still pushing through on various things. Tomorrow will be better.

Last week was a super productive workday. Wow, parallels in the days I'm reviewing, and contrast to today. That's another reason why I've started reviewing the past, lots of good stuff like this.
Tue Jul 03 02:58:29 UTC 2018
Yesterday, I was tired. And yet I still managed to do my planning, my weekly review, and my end of day review. There was an optimism in my plan, and I tried to plan for timer work, but I'm glad I ended up not doing any. I'm not glad that I failed to do that work today.
Tomorrow, I'll start the day with timer stuff to make sure I get some work done there.
Tue Jul 03 03:00:57 UTC 2018
Today was a bust as far as any productivity goes. I just couldn't summon the energy after lunch. Before lunch, I barely managed the plan for the day. I'm hoping it's just me still recovering from slight sleep destabilization from the Tahoe trip. I'll go to bed early and try with MAX POWER tomorrow.
Climbing was hard, too, but I managed to get some good exercise in today.
I'm hoping to reignite personal project progress again tomorrow morning. I won't be doing any such work on the 4th or 5th, however, as I'll be traveling to Vancouver and have a hard rule about no personal work on work-work laptop (my only laptop right now).
I've managed some listening of Capital in the Twenty-First Century and it's some good stuff. I'll try to have specific thinking on it sometime this week.
I watched a bunch of stuff today (not proud of it, but am open about it).
- SGDQ - Tomb Raider speedrun
- Extra Politics - Cheating
- A Snowflake Generation? Response
- Mad Maxine: Low Road
- Wreaking Ball - Fitsyhere Parody song
Time to play some Overwatch.
