My rental monitor wasn't ready until noon. The wife's rental equipment was ready at 10, but the wife had to wait in the regular line to get her badge.
We cheated the system by having her get a general attendence badge and I checked out her rental equipment and put it in her spot. At the end of the day when the line was short we got her badge. Everything worked out.
Setting up my computer ended up being a bit frustrating as I realized I had used the wrong screws to secure my power supply unit, and they had popped out, and I had to use some of the good screws keeping my case together to resecure the PSU. Luckily, that worked out great (NOTE: when I arrived home, I found the right screws and my case is properly screwed together now).
We made vegan sandwiches on the cast iron using the hot plate for brunch (first meal of the day at noonish). It was really good. Tofurky deli slices, vegan chao cheese, and avocado on Dave's killer plant seed bread.
I played a tiny amount of Overwatch, some PUBG... and tried out Monster Hunter World. Ended up not being a fan and requesting a refund.
Ended up being no real events on Thursday. The general con area wasn't even open. There was a huge line for a soda shop setup inside the BYOC selling QUAKECON mugs for $30. I got one. It's awesome. Came with free refills that day, and $5 unlimited refills for the day each following day.
Had some diet rootbeer. Avoided the sugary drinks. (NOTE: The following day I found they had unsweetened iced tea. It was delicious.)
(NOTE: It is now my work mug. Worth the $30.)
For dinner I made chilli pasta and for second dinner I heated up some waffles. Lots of use out of the hot plate.
