Thinking

I really want the current project to be done at work, and I'm going on vacation on Wednesday. I want it done before then. Rather, I want it "open beta" before then. I'm not going on vacation because I need a break (got plenty of break when recovering from surgery). I just go to QUAKECON every year, and I'm not going to have time for work while there. In this sense, I am okay with doing some work this weekend to make sure I'm done by Tuesday.

I may well do work Wednesday morning, even.

Though, we'll see if I feel the same way when I come back from climbing.

Moving on, I'm really liking how my mornings are coming along. I've decided that I need to ingest my caffeine for the day as early as possible, such that it definitely doesn't affect my sleep that night, but also so that it minimally affects my naps. But I also don't want to rush thru my coffee. Chugging in general is probably not healthy, and I like to enjoy my coffee.

So, I sit and enjoy my coffee for about 20 minutes. Just sitting there, in the dark living room, letting my mind wander. Feeling where I am as a start to the day. It's pretty great. I do it before making a plan for the day, and as I know I'm about to head to my computer and fill out my timeblock, I abstractly think about what my day should be.

Again, it's pretty great.

Time to go climbing.
