Thinking

Had trouble falling asleep last night. I think it was the heat. I may look into getting an air conditioner. I'm marking today as "sleep deprived" even though I feel pretty good, still. According to my fitbit, I got a little over 6 hours of sleep. Typically, it reports a little over 7 hours. So a loss of an hour. Which I believe is in territory where I am impaired but may not notice.

I have switched my phone alarm to 0505. Watch alarm is still 0500. This is to see if watch wakes me up, but if it doesn't, not lose too much time. Watch woke me up today, which is good.

Expected to be sorer today than I am. Yesterday I was pretty exhausted, too. Lots of laying down on the floor in my office (standing desk only, no chair in room). But, as per usual, once I was engaged in the game I'm playing, I didn't note my exhaustion. I have been practicing entering this state at work. It was something I worked on last year, to great success. I am getting better at it this year with my recent crop of rules.

I set a timer to limit my interaction with this post, but am now staying with the task until the timer alarm rings. I believe that in the long run, building this habit will be stronger than the flexibility of switching when I am done with a task.

And with that the bell rings and it is time for work.
