Thinking

It's raining a fair amount outside so I might bus to the therapist and try running to the office. We'll see.

Budget thinking and "budget dates" have been going well, Stephan. We'll probably not do them weekly anymore, though. Maybe twice a month, around paycheck time? Definitely the beginning of each month, to review the previous month and verify our plan for the upcoming one.

I'm excited to see how our spending evolves now that we're super paying attention. Already the wife has said things like, "Wow, that wasn't worth it," when I mentioned how much of a certain allocated budget an event took up. And I've already talked about "pretending" to spend money in one area but spending nothing and moving that money to another area.

As we add new goals that aren't getting any automatic money, I wonder how we'll change our habits so that they do get money as we realize they're more important.

Time to go to therapy.
