Been a while, let's dive into my Timer Remake.
Wed Jun 27 01:40:40 UTC 2018
Out of time. I've made it so there's an "Add Alarm" button that when pressed opens up a input field and a save button. Tomorrow, I'll make it so you can save a url.
Maybe I can even get a youtube video playing there, too. Though I'd really have to hack my way there and then backup and cleanup.

Anyways, time for IGDA Admin stuff.

Last month: "Time with family! Yeah!"
Wed Jun 27 04:16:39 UTC 2018
Last week, I was in SF trying to quickly kickoff the new work project (coming along pretty well).
Wed Jun 27 04:17:34 UTC 2018
Yesterday, I failed to get some time in on my timer project, and resolved to making sure I got that time in today (success).
Wed Jun 27 04:19:19 UTC 2018
Today....
Today was a lot like yesterday, except I worked from home, and managed to make time for side projects. My total pomodoros today will be 12, but this time one of them is planning and 4 of them are personal projects.
But let's focus on that tickler item I came across this morning.
"Think about Babuska, Grandparents, people who're gone."
This is a physical index card I made on August 22nd, 2014. It was originally: "Call Babuska". Everytime I create an index card for tickler, I mark its creation on the back (e.g. "08/22/14C"). Whenever something significant happens with the card, I mark another date.
Feburary 17th, 2015: Babuska died.
Feburary 21st, 2015: Changed to think about.
"Call" is still on the card. Crossed out. It elicts a semi-hollow feeling to look at it. A slight melancholy.
Thanks to this simple card, for almost 6 months I called my babuska every week until she died. When I found out she was in her final week, I dropped everything and flew to her and saw her one last time.
She wasn't a perfect person, mind you. But she was a wonderful person. And there's a lingering sadness that I won't interact with her again. But I approximate it, here and there. Every once in a while I'll say, "I love you," like she did. She would linger on the word "love" and give it extra energy and even sing it a bit. Sometimes I explicitly say "Babuska hug!" whilst I gently rock someone back and forth in a hug.
I love you, Babuska.
