There was a rough bit at work, and it hit me hard and made me feel really tired. But! I had 3 more pomoodoros to get in, and pomodoros mean work, and so I tackled what I was having issues with, processed it, communicated with the right people about it, and ended the day feeling super confident. Tomorrow, I'll execute on the updated plan.

An interesting result in which the arbitrary thing I use to track my deep work helped me overcome an abstract and difficult to process problem preventing me from getting work done. To say I'm happy with this result is an understatement.

The smoke has cleared up today! Tomorrow: climbing. (And maybe Saturday, too.)

IGDA forms processed, now I need to tackle the next important bits, which require discussion. I'm not sure how much work I'll need to devote to IGDA, so I might start fitting in my own actually personal projects again. I think work today has helped me learn things about how I should go about them to make real progress.

A major insight of today: if work is feeling really hard, start a pomodoro and just start explaining to myself what I'm doing, why, and what I think the next steps are (and what alternative next steps there are). When working with others, discuss these options with them, when working by myself... discuss it here in this diary? Talk with the wife. Experiment and figure out the best way to do it.

Read some twitter today before leaning into those pomodoros to get past the hurdle.
