I've made a note of copying the debugging checklist from the Pragmatic Programmer, so let's do that now.
- Is the problem being reported a direct result of the underlying bug, or merely a symptom?
- Is the bug really in the compiler? Is it in the OS? Or is it in your code?
- If you explained this problem in detail to a coworker, what would you say?
- If the suspect code passes its unit tests, are the tests complete enough? What happens if you run the unit test with this data?
- Do the conditions that caused this bug exist anywhere else in the system?

I got 8 pomodoros in at work today. My plan was 10, but I stopped short of it to play a boardgame with my peers. I am okay with this decision. Quality time with peers is important.
It also means my work-pomodoro count for the week is... 49!
Which is super good. It almost ties for the week I was told I wasn't doing enough work, and I worked extra hours that week. This week, had I not switched to board game, I would've tied that number. And that's with normal hours.
Speaking of hours.... It's not something I really track at work. I mean, I definitely have data on it, in my timeblocks, but that data isn't hooked into any kind of proper visualization.
Something to keep in mind.
Climbing was solid today. Made progress on a cave problem that I haven't even gotten past the beginning of before today. There were a bunch of new challenges that were fun and a few hard ones I managed. I'm considering going again tomorrow, but we'll see. I did a lot of exercise today between climbing and running. And pull ups.
I'm past processing chapter forms and now tackling other tasks in IGDA. One thing that I should do (and am creating a Trello item for) is process all the emails. I'm thinking continuing focus on IGDA should help me tackle and put in systems for various things, for sure.
50 work pomodoros per week should be the new normal, Stephan. And that's exciting. 14 maintenance pomodoros has been the normal for a while. 10 weekday personal pomodoros are returning, and, well, I'm excited about tomorrow.
I'm also excited to see what new "best week" pomodoro counts will be. 70 might well be achievable in the work setting with contained hours (though meetings will interfere with that number, for sure). During "lean in" or "crunch" weeks, it could hit super high numbers.
Hmmm....
No reading today (but I'll get some Pragmatic Programmer in while winding down for bed).
