Like yesterday, today I started off feeling really tired. Again, though, I have metrics I correlate with success, and I stuck to them. I ended the day deploying something and have done some digging into the next task to tackle. I'm at 3 PRs closed this week. Solid.
The challenge I have been working on at the climb gym has been replaced. The new green in its place is slightly easier. I say this because after a couple tries I completed it. There is also an orange one of the same type of problem. This will be the one I regularly practice, perhaps. Or it may be time to find some other problem type to practice regularly. We'll see.
I decided to skip IGDA plans today to focus on reading. Tomorrow I'll devote an hour to IGDA stuff, though. Need to start scheduling some calls with some clubs.
So, originally today I stopped working after 8 pomodoros. But after grocery shopping and cooking, I decided I wanted to finish something that was done, but not deployed. So I started up a pomodoro and deployed it. The insight here is: "When WFH, work can be more easily be fit into awkward places to allow for execution of things that can only be executed during 'working hours'."
This is a dangerous game to play, to be fair, and should be used intelligently, but perhaps I could have gotten coffee with my wife afterall.
