Thinking

What's this? Personal pomodoros? You better believe it, Teresa.

It's only because:

  1. need to go to climb gym before I'm allowed gaming/twitter/youtube
  2. I need to go to the farmer's market today and it's near the climb gym and it opens at 0800
  3. Today is an easy day at the climb gym, so staying there for 2 hours is a no go

What's an easy day? Walking there (no running), stretching, only the easiest climbing challenges, and (probably) no working out afterwards (read: pull-ups and inclined situps). Though, we'll see exactly what it means once I'm there.

My goal is to go to the climb gym every day, but only do a hard workout on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. I also plan on yoga on Tuesday, Wesnesday, and Thursday.

The reason I want to go to the gym every day is to erase the friction of actually going to the gym. Getting to the gym is the hard part, doing stuff at the gym once I'm there is easy. By going every day I hope to ingrain the habit, and then I can more easily develop a healthy workout regiment and also make healthy goals (I want abs and I want to do lots of fingertip pullups).

The plan right now is to just organize for the next hour, but I may instead want to make a simple script to divvy up my savings and decide what I've paid off for life. I wonder if I should include 401k and IRA money in this equation. I think only necessary expenses can be included in those number. With the Roth conversion ladder, I will have access to that money within the first decade of retirement (if needed), so I think that rule works.
