Thinking

Yesterday, I had trouble being productive. I still did some good work, but only 4 pomodoros worth. This is due to several factors:

  • Am addicted to a video game now, and its temptation is harder to ignore when WFH
  • I had to WFH because wife was ill and maybe needed my assistance with things
  • I am not coding but writing docs and making plans for future coding

Documentation creation is not a habit I have internalized, and so it is both more draining than regular work (regular work sometimes even provides energy) and also something that is easier for me to get distracted out of. There are little tricks I'm experimenting with to keep me in hyperfocus, but it'll be a bit before the rules are finalized and then even longer to internalize those rules.

I'll do a bit to formalize those rules later. Now it is time to go to work.
