Last month, I'm just generally really excited that everything is coming together. Today, in contrast, I'm pretty excited that I'm restabilizing pretty easily after a destabilizing worktrip. Last month I was just getting typescript stuff setup on my timer remake. I'd really like to get it to a state where I can replace my old timer with it... today.

I may rush to something functional but ugly (both code-wise and view-wise), and then I can devote time to cleanup and what I want it to look like.

Yesterday was a pretty good day. It looks like I'm on my way back to the productivity level that I want to be at. I'm not there yet, though. I watched some YouTube this morning instead getting right into planning, for instance. I should still get some good personal project work in, though.

I decided that my timer remake would be the main focus today. So IGDA Admin will have to wait until Tuesday. I have ended up diving into the YouTube api, because, though this isn't MVP necessary, I want to search YouTube, not give a YouTube url.

There are a variety of reasons for this, I guess. Part of it is that my whitenoise has recently changed. Maybe for the worse? But it doesn't matter, old whitenoise was not working anymore. Lazy me was actively rejecting old white noise.

Old white noise, for reference, was lyricless music on endless repeat. One song in particular.

And this has worked really well. But now no such music is working. So I've been "listening" to podcasts. I'm not really listening, I've noticed I'm tuning a lot out. Which is good, because multitasking is bad.


I'm doing it right now, and I'm definitely distracted by it. It may have super hurt my personal project productivity.

I'll do it for a bit and try to switch back, maybe.

Anyways, I'll want to search for my white-noise sometimes, I think. And I'd like it to be inside my timer, not outside. So, search functionality.

I'm glad I gave my timer priority, because it had been slipping. Next I need to make sure IGDA admin work comes back into focus.

Lots of reading today!

I started the Grab article a while back, but decided to finish it today. It linked to the statistics article, and I was interested and read it and it was good.

What color are your bits was something a friend told me about today. Also really good. Don't have time for depth here, maybe I'll discuss it a bit during my weekly review tomorrow.

Listening today was more Capital in the 21st Century. Still very much enjoying it. Main takeaway today was, "Foreign ownership of capital in a country is typically bad."

Podcast listening has been Cortex. Not particarly imporant which ones. This is for white noise purposes. But again, there has been some interesting things (e.g. journaling) that have bled through. Another data point to stop this experiment before making it a habit.

Sunday's only job from now on is weekly review before wife wakes up. Sunday is a rest day, I think. Planning, review, and weekly review are not things I need to rest from, however, so it's a good day for it.

So, what I'm saying is, I hope to follow-up on some things tomorrow.
