Dream:
I had a lot of abstract dreams throughout the night. Various work-related problems were being solved in my head, as far as I can remember it.
I also had a dream where I was Spiderman and Thanos was slowly torturing me into being his slave. There was a fight early on, but he had both the gauntlet and some silly cape like Dr. Strange's cape, I guess. I lost, he sends me on an errand. It ends with me being upset as he keeps killing people in front of me.
Kind of a messed up dream, to be honest.

Lots of interesting things in the past posts I'm reading. A year ago I was paying attention to my emotional state and maintaining the ability to listen and reflect while angry. Last month was the day before flying to QUAKECON and I was really kicking into MAX POWER mode. And last week I was noting that I need to give my personal project goals some actual time (aka pomodoros).
I'm still working on the personal pomodoro thing, but I keep reflecting on it and I think eventually I'll find the means of keeping the habit.

Got 12 pomodoros in at work. Pushed a thing while also updating the logging and test code. I immediately put that logging code to work with a caching-related bug, that I pushed a PR for and fixed nice and quick. Everything should be in place to focus on front-end work next week.
Also, got 40 pomodoros in 4 days, with an average of 10 per day (because Monday was a holiday). That's pretty sweet. Next week let's get 50.
I skipped climbing as I woke up late this morning. Plan on making up for it tomorrow.
I got in the 2 personal project pomodoros today. Further cleaning up IGDA stuff before diving into IGDA code. Also making sure to be social and keep tabs on various things. Email should be cleaned up tomorrow and I can start tackling the coder-related tasks after that.
It's an insight I've said before again and again, but I'm going to keep writing it down until it becomes a mantra: "Starting a pomodoro gives me energy." It's this magic thing wherein I severely limit acceptable distractions and focus on the task at hand. I could be better about what distractions I allow, and better about focusing on the task at hand, but as far as I can tell I'm moving in the right direction, so we good.
